“There are no passengers on Spaceship Earth. We are all crew.” ~Marshall McLuhan, 1964

Happy Earth Day! Today is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. If you want to find out a little more about Earth Day you can read about it here.  To celebrate I’m going to go see this Disney movie:

Hopefully it will be good! Here are some other ways I thought of to celebrate Earth Day!

Read The Lorax by Dr. Suess. If you don’t own it, buy it on Amazon where they have their Earth Day reads on sale!

Work in your garden! Or start a garden if you don’t have one yet.

Make your own paper! You’re recycling, and you can add flowers and leaves to make pretty stationary.

Create a re-usable grocery tote out of an old t-shirt. Directions here.

Find some Earth Day sales! Walgreens is having a sale on everything green! Kitchen cleaners, bath items, lightbulbs, etc . . . The Body Shop is giving 20% off if you bring in your own reusable bags! If you search around online I’m sure you’ll be able to find other fun sales!
