“Books are not made for furniture, but there is nothing else that so beautifully furnishes a house.” ~Henry Ward Beecher

Over the summer when I first moved to Houston I bought a little end table for the living room. I’m not sure why I thought we needed a table in there, because I ended up putting it in my room and piling it with books instead. It was a very ugly little table so I meant to decorate it but since it was covered in books I never got around to it.

Now that 2 other people are moving into the house I’ve once again decided that we need an end table. So, finding a bottle of Mod Podge in my sock drawer (what it was doing there I have no idea) I decided the best thing to do would be to Mod Podge the table with book pages. So, with a little mod podge and some paint, here you are!

I think it turned out pretty cool! Almost as cool as my Scrabble tile table. Luckily, I didn’t even feel that guilty about demolishing a book! It was an old German-English dictionary that I got from Goodwill. I would never have demolished good literature.

So, now I have about 2/3 of an old dictionary under my bed, if you have any ideas of things I could do with it let me know!

This is awesome! I was thinking of making a blanket out of the old book pages for a photoshoot! But I got so lazy! Maybe you can help me when you come visit!!
