"Happiness is like those palaces in fairy tales whose gates are guarded by dragons: we must fight in order to conquer it." ~Alexandre Dumas

I think perhaps blogging about England is going to take longer than I thought. I'm going to blame the reason I am being such a slow blogger on the fact that I am now in charge of quite a few other blogs that are not my own (more about that later). But, here is day 2!

We started off the day by taking the train to Hampton Court Palace. (Note the adorable pink polka-dot shoes I had to buy because my original shoes gave me horrible blisters.)

Part of the reason we decided to do Hampton Court Palace that day is because we (I) wanted to extend the cycling weekend by watching all the professionals ride past for the London-Surrey Classic. It was all worth it for this sweet picture that I got of Peter Sagan:

Next, to continue our day of sportiness, we went to Wimbledon! I don't watch tennis at all, but Whitney was practically crying she was so excited. My excitement stemmed mostly from the fact that I've seen pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge watching Wimbledon.

Luckily for me, Whitney never wanted to leave Wimbledon (she was pretty set on staying there, and we did meet a nice older couple who would probably have adopted us), so we stuck around to watch the end of the race right before they went back to London.

It was a good day.
